LIGHTING TECHNICIAN

Position Responsibilities:

• Installation, focus, and strike of lighting equipment and temporary electrical distribution

• Unload/load trucks as necessary during load-in/strike

• Follow direction from onsite leadership team

• Read and execute drafting and associated paperwork for productions

• Keep equipment assigned to the venue in good working order

• Maintain equipment storage areas Position

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience as a lighting technician

• Experience working with conventional, LED, and automated lighting fixtures

• Experience with electrical distribution, DMX, and related control signals and dimming systems

• Working knowledge of basic electrical and rigging safety principles

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, venue staff, etc.

• Availability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Punctuality, professionalism, and a positive, collaborative attitude when working with clients and co-workers

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

• Able to lift up to 65 pounds

• Comfortable working at heights (on ladders and lifts)

• Ability to use boom lifts, forklifts, and drive box trucks (CDL Not Required)
